The FM1500™ membrane electrolyser was developed as a direct replacement for existing mercury and diaphragm cells and to meet the requirements of new chlor-alkali plants.
The FM1500™ is highly versatile and extremely flexible. The number of electrolysers and electrodes can be adjusted to give the optimum design for any plant. The FM1500™ is easy to install into an existing plant and if required has the flexibility to be expanded to cope with increased production needs.
The FM1500™ membrane electrolyser is ideally suited to polysilicone production and small sodium hypochlorite plants in the range 1-10 MTPD chlorine due to its design and flexible nature. It has the capacity to be skid mounted and shipped anywhere in the world.
A key feature is its ease of maintenance. Individual electrodes and membranes can be easily and quickly removed and replaced, thereby optimising maintenance downtime. Only two non-specialist operators are required to rebuild the electrolysers completely. Electrodes can be recoated without the need to replace the metal substrates.
