Technology Innovene™ G

At the heart of the Innovene™ G gas phase process is the fluidised bed reactor where polymer particles grow by polymerisation at low temperatures and pressures maintained in a fluidised state by the upward flow of gaseous monomer and co-monomer.

The Innovene™ G process is set apart from other gas phase processes due to the unique catalyst systems used and the proprietary design features of the polymerisation loop and post reactor degassing and treatment. The benefits of these differentiated aspects include:

consistently high quality products with catalysts tailored to deliver the right properties for the right application
excellent operability and high on-stream times, confirmed by operating plants with proven long run times
rapid product transitions with low levels of wide specification material
safe and environmentally clean operation

INEOS Technologies continues to progress the technology and major innovations and landmark developments have taken single reactor plant capability to over 500,000 tpa and beyond. Since initial licensing in 1984 a total of 29 licences have been sold and the worldwide capacity of Innovene™ G now exceeds 5 millions tonnes per annum
